If April seems to far away and you’re itching for some Game of Thrones action, a new comedy show is happening this weekend to satisfy your GOT cravings for the time-being.
WE KNOW NOTHING: Monologues of Ice & Fire will be running for three nights beginning on Friday the 13th of November (what could possibly go wrong!?) through Sunday, the 15th at the historic Cultch theatre in East Vancouver (1895 Venables Street).
If you’ve never been to The Cultch, this is also a great excuse to visit the beautiful theatre that’s small and intimate without a bad seat in the house.
So… how can you make a comedy show about a dangerous drama littered with death, debauchery, and betrayal? Pretty easily it turns out!
We Know Nothing is a series of comedic monologues inspired by Game of Thrones hosted by George R.R. Martin (probably not the real writer… maybe?) who will introduce us to some of his favourite characters that ended up on the editing room floor.
George will introduce us to memorable cut characters such as “Fabiar Frey, the Red Wedding Singer”, “Susan Sand – the Other Sand Snake” and “Rud Oatwright – the Romeo of Flea Bottom”.
If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones, this event is a fun and unique way to laugh away your sorrows about all the latest deaths that have been happening in the show so far.
If you’re not a fan of Game of Thrones, you probably will relate to the title a little bit too much. But, it may be a good introduction to get you more interested in the show/books.
We Know Nothing: Monologues of Ice & Fire is presented by Mad House Productions, a new entertainment event production company from Vancouver, BC, that focuses on content that’s a little different.
The 3-day show will be held from November 13 – 15, 2015 at the Culture Lab in the Cultch Theatre at 7pm. Tickets are available for $15 for adults and $12 for students/seniors
